Senior Content Writer

Responsibilities and Duties

Content creation

  • Writing 4 articles or blog content – 800-1200 words – each week (5 work days)
  • Writing 2 social media posts each day
  • Writing 200 words of SEO specific content each day (based on the blog)
  • Writing 1 long form content per 20-22 work days which can be – a small guide or a long blog or LinkedIn pulse article or an eBook or other downloadable content or checklist of around 1600-2000 words.
  • Writing other equivalent content in lieu of any of the above, which can include case studies, podcast-based write-ups, employees profiles, speeches, RFP or award answers, etc.

 Strategy level tasks

  • Gather intelligence around how better content could be delivered to the audience – with help of the marketing manager and other stakeholders
  • Follow and build insights around industry specific content interests of the target market and include the best options in the next content calendar

Support the marketing manager to

  • Increase in relevant traffic over website
  • Increase brand and service awareness
  • Sales leads generation (Leads which are matured by BD & Sales team)
  • Convince and convert leads into hot leads (Leads ready to go for trial or start working, help BD & Sales with required content to nurture such leads)
  • Improve retention and foster cross sell and upsell by producing content helpful for teams across the F&A division – Process, BD & Sales teams

Skills required

Essential

  • Degree or equivalent qualification with good written & spoken English. Impeccable grammar is a must.
  • Basic experience of using Microsoft Office suite – MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience/understanding of writing/ copy writing, ideally for the web and social media
  • Understanding of the UK or US market
  • Intellectually curious and able to dive into various subject matters
  • Professional attitude

Proffered

  • Understanding of F&A and Accounts Outsourcing as an industry and as a division
  • Degree in a marketing-related subject or Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in journalism, communication, or English Literature
  • B2C or B2B marketing experience
  • Experience of marketing for an offshore services company
  • Ability to undertake basic analysis and reporting
  • Loves to read and write

Qualifications

  • Mass Communication/Media Studies
  • Business Journalism and Corporate Communication is a plus
  • BA/MA in English Literature
  • 3-5 years of work experience

Useful Licenses and Certifications

  • Fundamentals of Digital Marketing – Google courses
  • Hubspot Inbound Marketing Certification
  • Any other relevant certifications or courses in writing, copywriting branding or marketing
